Mary Katrantzou

Today I want to show you the gorgeous handbags of Mary Katrantzou. This colourful designer was born in Greece and moved to USA to study architecture and textile design. Her signature style are prints used both in her clothes and accessories. Her show in 2008 was influenced by trompe l’oeil prints which is an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted object exists in 3D. In the past Mary Katrantzou also worked together with Longchamp creating a capsule collection of their signature bags and totes. Check the link to view these bags, I just simply love them! I think you can only buy these on E-bay nowadays. As you can see, her handbags are full of colour and prints. The bags will fit perfectly with a more simple outfit so the bag will be the centre of attention. The first cross body and the flamingo print clutch are definitely my favourites. Happy Monday!

Jennifer Connelly and Louis Vuitton

Jenniffer Connelly starred in the new Louis Vuitton campaign created by designer Nicolas Ghesquiere. The campaign was shot by three different photographers; Juergen Teller, Bruce Weber and Annie Leibovitz. The ads will be published soon in February magazines.

I think the clutch on the second pictures looks fabulous! I love the combination of white, grey and silver hardware and can't wait to see the rest of this 70s feeling collections!

Tiny New York Apartments

New York Apartments... I can’t get enough of it! I dream about my own apartment in the city which is bright, at the perfect location and spacious. But I think I need to adjust my dream a little bit, because most (affordable) apartments are far beyond spacious. However, it is a challenge to make the most of a small space and therefore I love to see how other’s decorating their tiny apartments. This two-bedroom West-Village apartment is very small but the owners made something beautiful of it. I love all the paintings and illustrations throughout the house. Furthermore, it has an eclectic atmosphere and because of the green wall in the living room it makes a pleasant environment! I love it!

GiGi New York

I love browsing on Instagram and Pinterest and view pictures of gorgeous handbags. For a while now I have my eye on the clutches of GiGi New York. These clutches are absolutely fabulous and compliments every style. This ‘uber clutch’ is available in various colours and it is quite difficult to choose! You can never go wrong with a black clutch, but the green and purple ones are also stunning. To make your clutch more spectacular you can have it personalized with your initials which, as your probably already know, I am a big fan of!

2015 Colour: Marsala

As you maybe read quickly in one of my previous posts, the colour of the year 2015 will be marsala. I immediately went on the hunt for bags in this wintery, warm and royal colour!

If you are looking for a bag in this 2015 colour, you may go for the colour oxblood. This colour is almost similar to marsala and has a classy and luxury look and feel. You can combine it perfectly with a black and white outfit. What do you think of this colour of the year? For me it is definitely a yes!

Fratboy Blush

Since 2 months one of my favourite stores opened a shop in Amsterdam. During the Christmas break I finally got the time to have a look in & Other Stories and I found products from theBalm. Honestly I did not try anything yet from this fun brand but I  was so curious. I ended up with buying a blush: Fratboy Blush.

This blush has a peachy, pink and coral colour and is very natural and gives you a fresh and natural look. It is by the way quite pigmented so don't get overboard with it! I am very happy with this blush and let's not forget the packaging! It is so appealing that when I looked on their website for more products I wanted to buy everything, but that's maybe also due to the fact that I am a big sucker for cute packaging.... Have a lovely weekend!

New Year's Resolutions

New Year's Resolutions....everyone has them, including myself. We all want to eat healthier, go to the gym 4 times a week and save more money... but in the meantime we all know we will break our resolutions and before you know it, you totally forgot your goals. So for this year I thought instead of making a list of resolutions, follow some quotes which are truly inspiring! I think personally that in this way you can slowly change your life to a more positive and happy direction instead of following rules... These quotes inspired me and I will try to follow these in 2015! Do you have any New Year's Resolutions?
